Assassin’s Creed Odyssey PC Performance Review
1440p Performance – Benchmark Results
At 1440p we can see that none of our graphics cards can even maintain an average framerate of over 60FPS, showcasing how demanding Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey’s high preset can be. Remember that there are two graphical presets that sits above high, which should go a long way towards explaining how stressful this game can be.
At 1440p every graphics card that we have tested can achieve 30 FPS performance levels, though some of these GPUs can dip below a target framerate of 30FPS in dialogue scenes, where the bandwidth-heavy Depth of Field setting is active. These dips to not matter in the grand scheme of things, as they do not require fast controller response, but they are worth taking note of.
To achieve 60 FPS framerates at 1440p PC gamers will need a graphics card that is on the level of a GTX 1080 Ti or higher and a processor that can surpass both our 4GHz Ryzen 7 1700X and our 4GHz i7-6850K, even when the game is restricted to its High preset.
