VRAM Usage
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is a very VRAM-heavy game, almost using the entirety of the GTX 1080’s 8GB frame buffer at 4K Ultra High settings. In the graph below you can see the game’s VRAM with every default graphical preset at 1080p, 1440p and 4K.
Users of graphics cards with 3GB or less VRAM need to limit Odyssey’s VRAM usage by lowering the game’s texture quality and graphical settings. The most direct way of doing this is by decreasing Environmental Texture Detail and Character Texture detail.
