Death Stranding 2: On the Beach PC Performance Review

1440p Performance

1440p Performance

At Native 1440p at Very High Settings, GPUs like Nvidia’s RTX 5070 and AMD’s RX 9070 XT excel. 60+ FPS framerates at all times with no upscaling. With upscaling, older GPUs like Nvidia’s RTX 3070 Ti and AMD’s RX 6700 XT can also perform well, especially with High settings. If you have appropriate hardware, you will have a good time playing Death Stranding 2.

Ray Tracing remains a performance drag

Again, ray tracing is a challenge for all but the highest-end GPUs. Given its minimal visual impact in most areas, maxing out ray tracing is simply not worthwhile for most PC games. There’s a reason why these visual options are optional, and why they aren’t included as part of the game’s Very High preset.
