Death Stranding 2: On the Beach PC Performance Review

4K Performance

4K Performance

Even without upscaling, today’s high-end GPUs can achieve 60 FPS at 4K in Death Stranding 2 on Very High settings. That said, even the RTX 5080 doesn’t maintain 60+ FPS consistently. Thankfully, this game offers a range of great upscaling options to make high-framerate gameplay much easier. Beyond that, this game’s High preset can deliver a huge performance boost while still delivering great visuals.

With high settings and upscaling, even Nvidia’s RTX 3070 Ti can deliver a solid 60+ FPS gaming experience without frame generation. Not bad!

Once again, ray tracing is a performance hog, and its visual improvements are not worth its performance cost. If anything, the performance cost is higher at native 4K, which makes upscaling a must for almost all PC gamers.
