Does DOOM: The Dark Ages require fast DRAM?
As said before, DOOM: The Dark Ages is a GPU-heavy game. The game is always GPU-limited in normal circumstances. As such, the speed of our DDR5 memory had no real image on game performance. Perhaps this would change if we used something like an RTX 5090. That said, an RTX 5090 at 1080p is so absurdly overkill that this testing would be entirely academic. Hell, even this RTX 4070 Ti is crazy overkill for 1080p gaming.
