Dune: Awakening PC Benchmark Performance Review

Dune Awakening now has a PC Benchmark

Funcom’s Dune: Awakening is coming, but will it run well on PC?

Dune: Awakening, the large-scale multiplayer survival game, is coming to PC on May 20th. Following the success of the Dune movies, gamers are eager to insert themselves into the Dune universe. Given the depth and scale of the Dune universe, it is the perfect setting for a new MMO-style game.

Dune Awakening is based within an alternative timeline to the books or movies. Paul Atreides was never born, and houses Atreides and Harkonnen are at war on Arrakis. Players will take a role in this war and influence the fate of the great houses, Arrakis, and the Dune Universe itself.

Today, PC gamers can prepare for Dune Awakening’s release using the game’s character creator and benchmarking tool. This will allow PC gamers to judge if their PCs are ready for the game. Furthermore, it gives us a chance to see how the game runs across a variety of PC hardware configurations.

GPU Drivers

When testing Dune Awakening’s PC benchmark, we used the newest Nvidia and AMD GPU drivers that were available to us when the tool was released. These drivers were AMD Software 25.2.1 and Nvidia’s GeForce 572.47 driver for Windows 10/11.

Test Setup – OC3D’s New Test Rig

Mid-2023, OC3D started conducting new game testing and GPU reviews on a new test system. Thanks to Corsair, Intel, and ASUS, we have created a new testing system that will allow us to properly test new graphics cards and the newest PC releases. This system features Intel’s i9-13900K processor and a ROG Strix Z790-F Gaming motherboard, with all other components coming from Corsair.

Our new test system is powered, cooled, and operated using Corsair components. The OS we will be using is Windows 11, and the case we will be using is Corsair’s airflow-optimised iCUE 5000T.
