AMD RX 480 VS Nvidia GTX 1060 – Low, Medium, High and Extreme Settings

In For Honor’s beta release, the game did suffer from some performance issues on AMD hardware, though thankfully these issues have been addressed with new GPU drivers and recent game updates.

Now the game performs fairly evenly on AMD and Nvidia hardware, though Nvidia still maintains a performance advantage.

In out testing we used the most demanding location that we could find in the game, which can be found in the opening section of mission 2.4 of the Viking Campaign, a mission called  “up the beach”, where the Viking Faction raids a Samurai stronghold.

Here we can see that the game’s medium and high graphical settings only see a minimal change in performance, though this difference is enough to make the gameplay at an almost constant 60+ FPS on both our GTX 1060 and RX 480 GPUs.
