For Honor PC performance Review

4K Performance

At 4K we can see that even the most modern GPU hardware can struggle to maintain a steady 30+FPS, with only the GTX 1080 achieving a steady 30+.  While in typical gameplay the average framerate stays at around 40-45FPS on our GTX 1080, it is clear that even Nvidia’s mighty consumer flagship is not enough to handle 4K Extreme settings with a high framerate.

With Medium or High settings, gamers will be treated to a relatively stable framerate experience in For Honor, though a steady 60+ FPS will be very difficult to achieve at Extreme settings on almost any current hardware configuration, at least during more demanding gameplay sections.

For a steady 60+ framerate here players should use the game’s resolution scale option to lower the game’s internal resolution, which should allow players to achieve a solid 60+ FPS at high or medium settings with only a minor drop in visual quality.
