Forza Motorsport PC Performance Review and Optimisation Guide

Sub-par DLSS performance

Poor DLSS Performance

Forza Motorsport’s framerates do not scale especially well with resolution, especially when ray tracing is enabled. As such, the performance benefits of resolution upscaling technologies like DLSS have a relatively low performance impact when compared to other games. Below, we can see that DLSS’ quality mode can sometimes perform worse than native 4K with TAA, as the computational requirements of DLSS are not adequately overcome by Forza Motorsport’s lowered internal resolution.

Perhaps Turn 10 can improve this game’s DLSS performance in time, and add support for DLSS Frame Generation with a future game update. As it stands, this game does not benefit greatly from DLSS.
