Forza Motorsport PC Performance Review and Optimisation Guide

1440p Performance

1440p Performance

With ray tracing enabled, we noticed that Forza Motorsport’s PC performance did not decrease significantly when moving from 1080p to 1440p. This game scales poorly with resolution, and that is one of the reasons why features like DLSS and FSR have limited performance benefits. At 1440p max settings, we can see that our Radeon RX 7900 XT dips below 60 FPS at times, and that Nvidia’s RTX 4070 Ti barely manages to stay above 60 FPS in Forza Motorsport’s PC benchmark.

Again, we see limited performance scaling when moving from 1080p to 1440p with our high-end GPUs. In this case, high-end GPUs have their performance limited by Forza Motorsport’s framerate cap, which is set to the maximum refresh rate of your display. In our case, this is 120 FPS.
