GRID PC Performance Review and Optimisation Guide

GRID PC Performance Review and Optimisations Guide

4K – Can today’s hardware handle GRID at Ultra HD?

Like all other games, 4K presents gamers with exceptionally high loads on hardware. Using our standard game test suite, only our RTX 2080 Ti is able to maintain 60+ FPS in normal races, though rainy races can cause occasional performance dips below the coveted 60FPS line.

When looking at our video review data, we can see that Nvidia’s RTX 2080 Super can also stay close to the 60FPS mark, but falls short. This can be addressed by lowering GRID to its high graphical preset. As said before, this preset will free up a lot of GPU overhead while having a minimal impact on in-game visuals. Lowering the game to high settings will also be enough to allow GPUs like the RX 5700 XT to run the game at 4K 60+ FPS on standard, non-rainy, races.
