The Division 2 PC Performance Review

The Division 2 PC Performance Review

Performance Scaling – Low, Medium, High and Ultra

When comparing the RX 580 to Nvidia’s GTX 1060, we can clearly see that The Division 2 prefers Radeon’s graphics offering. That said, the gap is relatively small and gets wider and shorter depending on which graphics cards you compare.

Looking at the results below, it is clear that The Division 2 is an incredibly scalable game, with High settings offering around a 25% performance boost over Ultra, Medium offering a 22% performance boost over High and Low offering over 45% more performance than medium.

The performance boost offered by The Division 2’s low preset is due to the game’s 75% resolution scale, which alone would account for a significant reduction in GPU utilisation. This setting results in a non-native resolution and a blurrier output, but the performance increase will be worth these shortcomings for some.
