Graphics Cards

Two of these cards are very recently reviewed here at OC3D, indeed the RTX 4060 Dual we covered just last week. We won’t insult your intelligence by going over them in detail, especially as they’re the one part of gaming hardware that even the most casual observer will have the most familiarity with. We’ll merely say that the RTX 4080 is all the graphics card you could want for current gaming and also has all the Strix accoutrements you expect, whilst the RTX 4060 is a cracking card for those gaming at 1080P who don’t want to limit their options in Ray Tracing or DLSS scenarios.

ASUS TUF RTX 4070 Ti White

If you find yourself in the middle of those two options then the new TUF RTX 4070 Ti might be exactly what you’re after. The RTX 4080 definitely holds up the upper end of the market, and the RTX 4060 is perfect for 1080P and some light 1440. The RTX 4070 Ti is very close to the RTX 4080, just with a little less performance at the ultimate peak, but a suitably lower price point.

Worth noting that the TUF RTX 4070 Ti uses the 12VHPWR connector, rather than the reliable 8pin PCIe power inputs. Important if your PSU is very old. Although, as you’ll see on a subsequent page, ASUS have you covered in that department too, should you want a full system refresh.

Unlike a lot of the RTX 4000 series cards on the market, the TUF 4070 Ti doesn’t just have a single HDMI and three DisplayPorts, but instead squeezes another HDMI between the heatpipes for five total outputs. Nice.

ROG Swift PG329QW-R

The ROG Swift PG329Q might be getting a little on the steep side for a fairly medium set of specifications, but with the recent white refresh you can certainly get a panel which matches the rest of your system. By this point, isn’t that the most important thing anyway? We all know that eventually you just have to have all your hardware matching, and why not have a HDR600, 1440P@175Hz monitor to enjoy?
