Agents of Mayhem PC Performance Review
Introduction
Agents of Mayhem is a new game from Volition, the studio behind Saints Row IV,  offering a new game that is based within the Saints Row universe but is far from being just another Saints Row game.Â
This new title is based around switching between multiple heroes/Agents (three at a time) as players adapt to the changing situation within the open-world city of Seoul, allowing gamers to change their gameplay style with the push of a button to keep gameplay fresh and exciting. If you get sick of your usual set of heroes players can easily switch up their lineup, with around a dozen different agents to choose from, each of which offers a unique playstyle. Â
Volition has decided to use their own purpose-built game engine to build Agents of Mayhem, though it has often been misreported that the game is using Unreal Engine 4. To be clear this game is not using Epic’s game engine, but their own offering that uses a physically based renderer, highly stylised graphics and advanced lighting to create some pleasing visuals.Â
Agents of Mayhem is also a Nvidia GameWorks branded title, which means that the game will use many Nvidia technologies like TXAA, HFTS Shadows, Nvidia Volumetric Lighting and Nvidia’s Ansel photography tool, so it will be very interesting to see what kind of impact these features have on the game.Â

Drivers Â
As always, we will be using the most recent drivers from AMD and Nvidia at the time of release. This means that we will be testing this game with AMD’s Radeon Software Crimson ReLive 17.7.2 Driver and Nvidia’s Geforce 385.25 driver.Â
Please note that AMD has not released a game specific driver for Agents of Mayhem, which means that AMD could achieve some extra performance in the future if they plan to release a driver update for the game. Nvidia’s latest drivers are “Game Ready” for Agents of Mayhem, which gives them a distinct advantage from a driver perspective.Â
