1080p Performance – Benchmark Results

For our GPU testing, we decided to use a sequence from the game’s “Under No Flag” War Story, one which proved to be highly repeatable while delivering what could be described as one of the game’s most demanding areas. This section of the game also makes extensive use of screen space reflections, making it a perfect test area for DXR later down the line.

In general, AMD’s Radeon graphics cards outperform their Nvidia counterparts, with AMD’s RX Vega 56 beating not just the GTX 1070 but also the GTX 1080, while the RX 580 headily secures a victory over the GTX 1060.

The only graphics cards that offer per performance in this sequence are the R9 380 and GTX 960, though for the most part, this is due to their small frame buffers, and 1080p Ultra settings preference for GPUs with 4GB frame buffers. We will chat more about this later.

Both the GTX 1060 and RX 580 sit on Battlefield V’s recommended system requirements, making these requirements consistent with 60+ FPS framerate at Ultra settings under most occasions, with High settings presenting framerates in excess of 60 at all times at 1080p.
