Far Cry 5 PC Performance Review

VRAM Use – Will this game work with a 2GB frame buffer?

In Far Cry 5, anyone with 3GB of more VRAM should have no real issues, as any GPU that is capable of running the game at 4K will undoubtedly have more than 4GB of VRAM.

Using our 2GB R9 380 and GTX 960 didn’t prove to be problematic in Far Cry 5, as the game did a great job staying within the frame buffer by using lower resolution assets. This limitation presented a minimal visual difference at 1080p and resulted in no VRAM related slowdown.
