Far Cry 5 PC Performance Review

Far Cry 5 PC Performance Review

1080p Benchmarks

At 1080p Far Cry 5 presents very little to worry about if you are using GPUs like our RX 580 and GTX 1060 Strix models, easily giving us 60 FPS at Ultra settings.

It is only when moving down to older GPUs like the R9 380 and GTX 960 present a challenge, though they both still offer a solid 30 FPS, which means that players could lock the game’s framerate to 30 and have a perfectly reasonable console-like experience at Ultra settings on these older GPUs. If you want to aim for 60FPS players will need to lower their graphical settings and display resolution or resolution scale, which we will explore later.

Moving past the GTX 1070 we can see that the RX Vega 56 and GTX 1080 offer similar performance levels overall, with the RX Vega offering steeper performance dips, which are likely due to a CPU related restriction.
