Far Cry 5 PC Performance Review

Far Cry 5 PC Performance Review

4K Benchmarks

Moving up to 4K we can finally see Far Cry 5 presenting the kings of challenges that can make modern GPUs scream, keeping all of our GPUs well below our 60FPS performance target. These sheer hardware demands are why Ubisoft recommends GTX 1080s in SLI or RX Vega 56’s in Crossfire to achieve a slud 60 FPS at Ultra in their PC system requirements.

At Ultra settings GTX 1080/RX Vega 56 users can lock the framerate to 30FPS and have a console-like locked 30FPS experience at 4K at Ultra settings, though alternatively, they can lower their settings and resolution scale a little to have a steadier 60FPS experience at an intermediate resolution between 1440p and 4K. It depends on whether you prefer a faster framerate and a more responsive game or the visual clarity of a native 4K image.
