Forza Horizon 4 PC Performance Review

1440p Performance – Benchmarking Results

Cranking Forza Horizon 4 up to 1440p, we find that all of our GPUs that stand above the GTX 1060 and RX 580 can operate at over 60FPS, with the GTX 1060/RX 580 requiring a few settings reductions to play Forza Horizon 4 at over 60FPS.

Just like our 1080p results we see the AMD RX Vega 64 compete with Nvidia’s GTX 1080 Ti while the RX Vega 56 competes with Nvidia’s GTX 1080, placing AMD’s Vege architecture above its usual weight class. Even so, we can see that the RX Vega series now sits closer to their Nvidia rivals than in our 1080p testing.

On the topic of Turing, we continue to see the RTX 2080 smash the GTX 1080 Ti into submission, with a minimum framerate that is almost as high as the GTX 1080 Ti’s average framerate. Turing has a dominating lead over Pascal. With the RTX 2080 Ti, we can see that the graphics card is limited by our 4GHz i7 6850K processor, keeping its minimum framerate in line with the RTX 2080.
