Forza Horizon 4 PC Performance Review

Graphics Scaling – GTX 1060 VS RX 580 – Lowest to Maximum

Forza Horizon 4 offers PC gamers a lot of scalabilities, with the move from max settings to the game’s lowest preset presenting us with a performance boost that is well in excess of 2x without any resolution changes.

On our Radeon RX 580 and Geforce GTX 1060, all you need to do to ensure steady 60+ FPS gameplay at 1440p is to lower the game’s graphical settings to the game’s High preset, offering plenty of wiggle room to enhance a few extra graphical settings beyond that. In the prior two pages, you will be able to see that the game looks like under each of these graphical presets.

When comparing these specific Radeon and Geforce graphics cards, it is easy to think that AMD and Nvidia sit with level pegging in Forza Horizon 4, though this is a thought that you will no doubt need to reconsider when we look at newer graphics architectures from both sides of the GPU wars. Forza Horizon 4 loves Vega and Turing, with the game offering a significant performance uplift on both modern graphics architectures.
