Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart PC Performance Review and Optimisation Guide

1080p Performance

Overall, Ratchet& Clank: Rift Apart is a game that runs well on PC, but older graphics cards can struggle to run this game using its very high settings, even without ray tracing.

PC gamers with GPUs like AMD’s RX 6700 XT or Nvidia’s RTX 3070 have no issue blasting past 60 FPS in this game, with the 3070 dipping below during warps, but lower-end graphics cards will need to be used at lower graphical settings, or with upscaling, to run at 60 FPS at 1080p.

Currently, ray tracing only works in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart on non-AMD graphics cards, and you can see below that this game requires a lot of VRAM to run well with ray tracing maxed out. Every GPU with less than 12GB of VRAM struggles to achieve solid framerates.
