AMD Raven Ridge Ryzen 3 2200G and Ryzen 5 2400G Review

AMD Raven Ridge Ryzen 3 2200G and Ryzen 5 2400G Review

x265

As replacements for the Ryzen 3 1200 and Ryzen 5 1400, it is hard to argue with the performance offered by the 2200G and 2400G, delivering performance that not only surpass their previous generation counterparts but even the models above them.

In our x265 benchmarks, we can see the 2200G surpass the Ryzen 3 1300X and get within striking distance of our 4GHz 1200 and 1300X overclocked results, which is a remarkable improvement given this products pricing an inclusion of integrated graphics. The Ryzen 5 2400G achieves a similar feat, surpassing the 1500X to offer an experience that is similar to the Intel i5 7600K.

When compared to its last generation counterparts the Raven Ridge 2000G series of processors offer a notable performance increase as well as (effectively free) integrated graphics hardware, delivering a huge boost in value for money for low-end AMD users.
