HEVC

The HEVC Decode benchmark is something that is relatively new to our test suite, which means that we currently lack results from the low-end of Intel’s processor lineup.  This lack of data prevents us from comparing Raven Ridge to Intel’s similarly priced CPU models from their i3 and i5 series of processors, though at least we can compare these new CPU models to AMD’s existing Ryzen 3 and 5  series products.

Looking at the Raven Ridge 2200G, we can see that it leaves the Ryzen 3 1200 it replaces in the dust, offering stock performance that is closer to what the Ryzen 3 1200 provides when overclocked. Moving up to the 2400G, we can see results that are very similar to the Ryzen 5 1500X, which sits above the Ryzen 5 1400 that the 2400G replaces.  This boost in decoding is great news for AMD’s Raven Ridge desktop lineup given their similar pricing to their previous generation equivalents.
