Assassin’s Creed Odyssey PC Performance Review

Assassin's Creed Odyssey PC Performance Review

Performance Scaling – With AMD’s RX 580 and Nvidia’s GTX 1060

Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey is a relatively scalable title, with plenty of options that will allow PC users to achieve higher levels of performance on their systems.

With both our RX 580 Strix and GTX 1060 Strix we found that both graphics cards are able to maintain 30 FPS framerates at 1440p at High settings, with Nvidia’s GTX 1060 maintaining a solid lead over its Radeon-powered counterpart.

While this may seem odd for an AMD-branded title, it is worth noting that Assassin’s Creed: Origins (Performance Review link) offered terrible performance on Radeon hardware, with Nvidia having a huge performance advantage under all game presets. This performance gap has shrunk significantly, making the game a lot more playable on Radeon hardware.

At 1440p we can see that both graphics cards are unable to reach 60FPS, even when using the game’s low preset.
