F1 23 PC Performance Review and Optimisation Guide

F1 23 is a hugely scalable game, and should be playable on even the most modest of gaming PCs

Like its predecessors, F1 23 has a wealth of graphics options for PC gamers to tinker with, allowing players to adjust the game to run well on most hardware configurations. Yes, this game has advanced graphical options that demand high-end hardware to run at 60+ FPS framerates, but it also has presets that are designed to run on more modest graphics cards.

Simply moving from F1 23’s Ultra Preset to High will result in a greater than 2x performance boost on PC, mostly thanks to the fact that this game’s high preset disabled ray tracing. This change has the largest impact on AMD-based graphics cards, but that does not mean that the performance gains for users of Nvidia GeForce GPUs are small.

For most PC gamers, F1 23 will provide you will high framerates at high settings when using a resolution that is suitable for your graphics card. For those with lower-end GPUs, Medium and Low settings can also provide decent visuals. F1 23 is designed in a way that even the game’s lowest graphical preset can provide gamers with pleasing visuals, even if they are not top of the line and filled with ray tracing or “RTX” effects.
