1080p Performance
At 1080p F1 23 will only be hard on your hardware if you let it. Yes, F1 23’s Ultra settings and all of its ray tracing effects can demand a high-end PC, but it is worth remembering that you don’t need ray tracing for a great visual experience in this game, and that simply disabling it can enable a greater than 2x performance boost. Beyond that, gamers also have features like DLSS and FSR to utilise.Â
At 1080p Ultra PC gamers need something like an RX 6800 XT or an RTX 3070 Ti to have average framerates of above 60 FPS, which may sound like a lot, but only if you are not willing to tone down this game’s ray tracing, or disable it.
High preset
Moving down to F1 23’s more moderate high preset, we can see that even Nvidia’s aging RTX 2060 and AMD’s RX 6600 can deliver a solid 60+ FPS gameplay experience at 1080p, even without using upscales like FSR or DLSS. While high settings will not give gamers the best possible visual experience in F1 23, the game will still look great on PC.
