DLSS VS FSR – A clear win for DLSS
The upscaling wars continue. FSR 2.2 VS DLSS. Which offers better visual results, and which offers the best performance. Well, as usual our recommendation is for Nvidia users to use DLSS over FSR. While we saw some aliasing with DLSS, we as notable ghosting on tyres when FSR is enabled, causing a strange side-ways blurring effect. We did not see this with DLSS, giving it a clear visual advantage.
The good news with F1 23, is that both DLSS and FSR 2 offer better visual results than they did in F1 22. While FSR does have some ghosting problems, it does deliver strong performance gains, and DLSS offers good enough results that we think that most RTX GPU users should have DLSS set to quality mode for performance reasons.
As always, we can see strong performance scaling through DLSS and FSR’s various performance settings. Currently, Nvidia’s DLSS 3 technology has not been implemented into F1 23, with only DLSS 2 being available. In the future, DLSS 3 will come to F1 23, adding DLSS Frame Generation and Nvidia Reflex to the game.
