God of War Ragnarok PC Performance Review

4K Performance

4K Performance

While none of our GPUs could achieve 60+ FPS at all times in God of War Ragnarok at (native) 4K Ultra settings, all of the below GPUs can provide gamers with a pleasing Faux-K experience. Optimised settings, Frame Generation, and DLSS/FSR can enable solid high refresh rate experiences. This is especially true for VRR-compatible 4K TV/monitor users.

With the Radeon RX 7900 XT, we used FSR Frame Generation at TAA Native 4K without optimised settings to consistently achieve above 120 FPS. For the RTX 3060 Ti, the lowest GPU in the chart below, Optimised settings with DLSS in Performance mode delivered an experience that mostly stayed above 60 FPS, and FSR Frame Generation could deliver a much smoother output if you have a high refresh rate 4K screen. With the right tweaks, God of War Ragnarok can run well at 4K on a lot of GPUs.
