God of War Ragnarok PC Performance Review

DLSS 3

DLSS Performance

At launch, DLSS did not work as intended in God of War Ragnarok. DLSS Frame Generation simply wouldn’t work. Thankfully, the game’s latest update has addressed this bug, allowing us to properly test DLSS in this game.

Aside from adjusting graphical settings, DLSS and other upscaling options are a great way to boost this game’s framerates on PC. Add on Frame Generation, and PC gamers can have an exceptionally smooth experience on PC, which is great news for owners of high refresh rate monitors.

We will note that FSR 3.1 Frame Generation gives us a larger overall FPS boost than DLSS 3 Frame Generation. This may lead some gamers to prefer AMD’s Frame Generation Technology. Thankfully, FSR 3.1 Frame Generation can be used alongside DLSS upscaling, allowing Nvidia users to get the best of both worlds.
