Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty PC Performance Review and Optimisation Guide

Graphical Presets – Huge scalability

A crazy number of graphical presets

Cyberpunk 2077 has a crazy number of graphical presets on PC. This is mostly thanks to this game’s extensive ray tracing support, which extends from full path tracing, to hybrid rasterisation/ray tracing, and full rasterisation. This gives Cyberpunk 2077 a crazy level of scalability on PC, allowing high-end PCs to be brought to their knees with RT Overdrive, while allowing older systems to run the game well at lower settings.

Below, we can see that before ray tracing is enabled, AMD’s RX 7900 XT outperforms Nvidia’s RTX 4070 Ti. Once ray tracing is enabled, Nvidia takes the lead.

None of the performance data below was measured with DLSS, FSR, or any other form of upscaling enabled. Upscaling adds an extra layer of scalability to Cyberpunk 2077, thought these features pretty much become mandatory if gamers want to enable ray tracing on PC. This is especially true for the game’s RT overdrive preset.
