Cyberpunk 2077 is a major DLSS showcase for Nvidia. The game’s heavy use of ray tracing and the game’s uber demanding RT overdrive mode make Cyberpunk 2077 on PC a prime candidate for DLSS. Both DLSS Super Resolution and DLSS Frame Generation can have a huge impact on performance, as you can see in the graph below.
By setting DLSS to Quality mode and enabling DLSS Frame Generation, we can see Cyberpunk 2077’s framerates increase hugely. Framerates are boosted from an average of 22.6 FPS in RT overdrive mode at 4K to 81.6. That’s a crazy 3.6x performance gain. That’s a crazy performance gain given how good Cyberpunk 2077 looks with DLSS enabled. Even higher performance levels can be achieved with lower quality DLSS Super Resolution modes.
