Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty PC Performance Review and Optimisation Guide

1080p Performance

1080p

While Cyberpunk 2077 can be a demanding game on PC, the game is actually relatively easy to run on modern hardware. At 1080p Ultra settings, most of the GPUs that we have tested can maintain framerates above 60 FPS at 1080p with ease. Only Nvidia’s RTX 2060 failed to do so. With the addition of DLSS, or a move to our OC3D optimised settings, will bump the RTX 2060 above 60 FPS.

On the high-end, we can see that even Cyberpunk 2077’s benchmark has become CPU-limited. RTX 4080 and above GPUs all have similar performance levels. That said, AMD’s RX 7900 XTX being slightly less CPU-limited than Nvidia’s RTX 4090.

RT Ultra

Moving to RT Ultra sees AMD’s GPU performance drop massively, with AMD’s RX 7900 XTX dropping below Nvidia’s RTX 4070 Ti. If you are not using an Nvidia RTX GPU, ray tracing simply is not worth using in Cyberpunk 2077. The performance hit is too high.
